Flood International Consulting Agency (FICA) strives to be a leader in providing solutions for medical schools and teaching hospitals to improve management and organizational effectiveness. Our professional services include establishing new medical schools in the U.S. and abroad and guiding existing medical schools through expansion projects.
We are also highly focused on increasing the number of family practice doctors and geriatricians to help meet the increasingly high demand for those specialties.
Our emphasis is quality. We help clients intergrate a mission of quality throughout the educational experience, from providing excellent clinical care to producing outstanding doctors for the health care industry. We do this by recommending quality assurance standards(such as AAMC's Intergrating Quality program) and other quality assurance practices.
Our experience also provides us unique insight and perspective into international medical schools including the acquisition of U.S. clerkships for medical students studying abroad. Institutions are invited to call us for more information on this subject.
The health care industry also faces a shortage of professional nurses. FICA works with health care institutions to establish a pipeline for recruiting licensed nurses from the U.S. and internationally. We work with educational institutions that must turn away or wait-list qualified applicants to arrange study abroad programs for 3-4 semesters until students can be assimilated back into the institution's program. This results in the institution being able to graduate more qualified nurses.
FICA's nurse recruitment and training division will help place qualified internatinal nurses into positions with U.S. employers. The division will help screen candidates to ensure that high standards and licensing requirements are met. Our goal is to reduce the nursing shortage locally and nationally to help assure continuous delivery of critical health care services.
